Leanne Cole is from Melbourne, Australia and loves the magic of long exposure photography and its ability to transform the world around her. She considers herself an artist first and photography her medium. Photography has been part of her world for many years and when she isn’t out photographing what is around her, she is writing about photography. She has a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Melbourne, Faculty VCA. She teaches photography and is now the Editor of a digital magazine, Dynamic Range which is dedicated to promoting photography by women.
Leanne is interested in the environment, what is happening and how it will affect everyone. Long exposures give the opportunity to view the world through time and without people. They can create a surreal view of the world which is often surprising and beautiful. Long exposure photography is quiet.
