The result of this has been a matching of Neutral density filters in the Firecrest Ultra range from a 39mm circle to a 100mm square filter all the way up to our top-of-the-range 4x5.65" Panavision sized filters.It is now possible to match the colour output of multiple camera systems in different roles, from drones to A cam giving cinematographers increased flexibility while reducing time spent in the grad. It has not stopped with Neutral density, and diffusion has undergone the same treatment; now available is a wide range of formats and densities to suit any production.

Formatt Hitech has also worked on its latest Firecrest Magnetic holder with an 86mm included CPL giving filmmakers and photographers the ability to switch seamlessly between the two arts of cinematography and photography using the same equipment for video and stills. The holder system is lightweight but packs some serious features for a compact and mobile solution that is easy to put in a bag.The system is ideal for cinematographers travelling light or working in a small crew. It offers access to the same great filtration products as traditional systems while being affordable and light.
